Last Updated: December 13, 2025
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how iEatz Healthy, Inc. (“iEatz Healthy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our mobile applications, website at www.ieatzhealthy.com, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). This Policy applies only to residents of the United States.
By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
SUMMARY OF KEY POINTS
• We collect information you provide, information collected automatically, and information from third-party sources.
• We use your information to operate the app, provide meal and shopping recommendations, personalize your experience, run analytics, improve our AI, and comply with law.
• We share information with service providers and partners, including cloud hosting, analytics, AI vendors (such as OpenAI), advertising networks (such as AdMob-style SDKs), and merchants (such as Instacart and Amazon).
• We may use certain information for personalized advertising and measurement. You can control many tracking technologies via your device settings and, in some states, via specific privacy rights.
• We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described, and generally delete or de-identify within up to 180 days after account deletion, subject to legal obligations.
• The Services are intended for users 13 years of age and older. Users under 18 should use the Services with the permission of and under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
• U.S. residents in some states (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Texas) have additional privacy rights described in Section 12.
• You can contact us at admin@ieatzhealthy.com with questions or to exercise your rights.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
We collect information you voluntarily provide, including:
• Account Information. Email address, password, and any optional profile details you choose to provide (such as name or display name).
• Profile and Preferences. Basic information you enter to personalize recommendations, such as general dietary preferences, allergies, household size, and goals (for example, “eat healthier,” “save money”).
• Pantry and Ingredient Data. Items you add manually or via receipt scanning (such as ingredient names, quantities, brands, and store names).
• Receipts and OCR Inputs. Images of receipts you upload and the parsed text and line-item data (such as store, date, items, and prices).
• Shopping Lists. Lists you generate (for example, by persona or, in the future, by bundle/gap logic) and any updates or edits you make.
• Meal Interactions. Meals you view, favorite, save, or purchase, plus feedback you provide (for example, likes or, in the future, thumbs up/down).
• In-App Chat and Support. Messages you send through in-app chat (including AI-powered chat) or emails you send to us. These may include questions, feedback, or other content you choose to share.
• Referral and Promotions. When you participate in referral programs or promotions, we may collect information about referrals, invitees, and redemption of rewards (once such programs go live).
• Other Content. Any other information you choose to provide, including participation in surveys, contests, or our private community channels.
Please avoid sharing highly sensitive information (such as full payment card numbers, social security numbers, or detailed medical histories) through receipts, chat, or other uploads.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Services, we automatically collect:
• Device Information. Device type, operating system, hardware model, unique device identifiers, mobile advertising ID, and app version.
• Usage Data. Pages/screens visited, features used, meals or lists viewed, time spent, taps/clicks, and referring/exit pages or links.
• Log Data. IP address, approximate location derived from IP, access times, error logs, and crash reports.
• Cookies and Similar Technologies. On the website and within the app (via SDKs), we and our partners may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to enable core functions, analytics, and advertising. See Section 4.
1.3 Information from Third-Party Sources
We may receive information from:
• App Stores and Analytics Providers. App-store platforms (such as Apple) and analytics services (currently including Firebase Analytics) provide aggregated or pseudonymous data about installs, subscriptions, and in-app events.
• AI Vendors. When we use third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI and others in the future) to process your inputs, we receive outputs (such as generated meals, images, or chat responses) that may be associated with your account.
• Advertising and Measurement Partners. Ad networks and measurement SDKs (for example, AdMob-style providers) may provide us with aggregated reports about ad performance and engagement.
• Affiliate and Merchant Partners. When you follow an affiliate link or shopping list to merchants like Amazon or Instacart, those partners may share aggregated or campaign-level information with us (for example, that an order occurred using a specific link). We do not receive your full payment card details or full order histories directly from those merchants at this time.
• Social and Community Platforms. If you join our private Facebook group or similar communities, we may see your profile name and any content you post there, subject to that platform’s own privacy settings.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use your information for the following purposes:
2.1 Provide and Maintain the Services
• Create and manage your account.
• Authenticate you and secure access.
• Generate meal recommendations based on your pantry, receipts, and preferences.
• Generate and display AI-created meal descriptions and images.
• Build and maintain your shopping lists and history.
• Operate in-app chat and support.
2.2 Personalize Your Experience
• Tailor meal suggestions, shopping lists, and bundles to your pantry and preferences.
• Surface relevant meals you are more likely to enjoy or afford.
• In the future, tailor Instacart or merchant shopping lists to your true pantry and goals.
2.3 Analytics, Performance, and Product Improvement
• Analyze usage of the Services (including Firebase Analytics metrics).
• Debug, test, and improve features, AI prompts, and recommendation quality.
• Measure the performance of referral campaigns and marketing efforts.
• Develop new features, such as barcode scanning, image recognition, and enhanced shopping integrations.
2.4 Advertising and Marketing
• Serve and measure in-app advertisements (for example, via AdMob-style SDKs) in free tiers and, if configured, in some paid contexts.
• Show promotions for our own products or partners.
• In the future, support cross-context behavioral advertising and retargeting, where permitted by law and with appropriate opt-outs.
2.5 Security and Fraud Prevention
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
• Protect the safety, property, and rights of users, iEatz Healthy, and others.
2.6 Legal and Compliance
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Respond to lawful requests from law enforcement or regulators.
• Maintain records required by law (for example, for tax, accounting, or audit purposes).
2.7 With Your Consent
• For other purposes that we clearly describe to you at the time of collection and for which you consent.
3. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We may share information in the following ways:
3.1 Service Providers
We share information with vendors and service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as:
• Cloud hosting and database providers (for example, Google/Firebase).
• Analytics and crash reporting providers (for example, Firebase Analytics and performance monitoring).
• Email delivery and notification services (for example, Firebase email extensions or similar providers).
• In-app messaging and customer-support tools.
• Payment and billing platforms (for example, app stores and, in the future, payment processors).
• AI vendors and OCR/image-processing services (for example, OpenAI and similar providers).
These companies are contractually required to use personal information only as necessary to provide services to us.
3.2 AI and OCR Providers
To generate meals, images, chat responses, and to parse receipts, we send certain inputs (including text, ingredient lists, and receipt images) to third-party AI and OCR providers. We receive corresponding outputs that we associate with your account. We configure these services in accordance with their documentation and, where available, use settings intended to limit long-term retention and use of your data for their own training; however, we do not control their internal policies.
3.3 Advertising and Measurement Partners
We may share limited information (such as mobile advertising IDs, device data, coarse location, and in-app event data) with advertising networks, demand-side platforms, and measurement SDKs to:
• Serve ads within the app;
• Measure ad performance; and
• In some cases, support cross-context behavioral advertising.
Where required by law, we will treat this as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising and provide appropriate opt-out mechanisms (see Section 12).
3.4 Affiliate and Merchant Partners
• Instacart and Similar Services. When you choose to send a shopping list to Instacart or another merchant, we share the necessary list data to pre-populate your cart or list. Your actual purchase is governed by the merchant’s own terms and privacy policy. Currently, we do not receive your final checkout data automatically; we may ask you to manually confirm what you purchased.
• Amazon and Other Affiliate Links. If you click an affiliate link, the destination merchant may know that you came from iEatz Healthy and may share aggregated or campaign-level information with us. We do not receive your payment card information from these merchants.
3.5 Business and B2B Partners (Future)
For clinics, dietitians, gyms, employers, or other organizations using a white-label or B2B version of the Services:
• We may process data as a service provider on behalf of that organization, in accordance with a separate agreement.
• We may also use de-identified and aggregated data from such deployments to improve our products and analytics, where permitted by law and our contracts.
3.6 Legal, Safety, and Corporate Transactions
We may share information:
• To comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests by public authorities.
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of iEatz Healthy, our users, or the public.
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, due diligence, restructuring, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our assets. In such cases, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
3.7 With Your Direction or Consent
We may share information with third parties when you ask us to or when you otherwise consent.
4. COOKIES, MOBILE IDS, AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We and our partners use cookies, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies to:
• Authenticate users and maintain sessions;
• Remember your settings and preferences;
• Analyze usage and performance; and
• Serve and measure advertisements.
On mobile devices, these technologies may rely on mobile advertising IDs provided by your device’s operating system. You can often reset or limit use of these IDs through your device settings (for example, “Limit Ad Tracking” or “Ask App Not to Track”).
On the web, you can control cookies through your browser settings and, where applicable, cookie banners we provide.
5. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including:
• Operating the Services and your account;
• Meeting legal, tax, or accounting obligations; and
• Resolving disputes and enforcing our agreements.
When you request account deletion, we delete your account and associated personal information from our active databases within a reasonable period. We may retain limited backup copies and logs for up to 180 days, unless we are required or permitted by law to retain certain information longer.
We may retain de-identified or aggregated information indefinitely. This can include recipes originally generated using your inputs that can no longer be linked back to you in our systems.
6. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The Services are intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it as soon as practicable.
If you are between 13 and 17, you should use the Services only with the permission of and under the supervision of your parent or legal guardian.
7. SECURITY
We employ reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. YOUR CHOICES AND CONTROLS
8.1 Account Information
You can review, update, or correct certain profile information (such as email, height/weight fields, diet preferences, and allergies) directly in the app. If you are unable to do so, contact us at admin@ieatzhealthy.com.
8.2 Marketing Communications
We may send you emails about new features or promotions. You can opt out of marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in the email or contacting us. We may still send transactional or service-related communications (for example, account notices or security alerts).
8.3 Mobile Device Settings
You can control push notifications through your device settings. You can also limit sharing of mobile advertising IDs or enable system-level privacy features (“Ask App Not to Track,” etc.) where available.
8.4 Cookies and Web Tracking
Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Doing so may affect some functionality of the Services.
9. DO-NOT-TRACK AND GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL
Your browser may offer a “Do-Not-Track” (DNT) or Global Privacy Control (GPC) setting. Our handling of DNT/GPC may vary based on applicable law and implementation. Where required (for example, under certain state privacy laws), we will treat compliant browser signals as a request to opt out of sales/sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
10. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND COMMUNITY FEATURES
The Services may contain links to third-party websites, services, and communities (such as Instacart, Amazon, or a private Facebook group). Any information you provide on those sites or within those platforms is subject to their privacy policies, not this Policy. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of third parties.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date above and may provide additional notice as required by law. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of an updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
12. U.S. STATE-SPECIFIC PRIVACY DISCLOSURES
Residents of certain U.S. states (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Texas) may have additional privacy rights relating to their personal information.
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:
• Know/Access. Request that we disclose what categories of personal information we collect, use, disclose, and, where applicable, “share” or “sell.”
• Delete. Request deletion of personal information we have collected about you, subject to exceptions.
• Correct. Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
• Data Portability. Request a copy of certain personal information in a portable format.
• Opt Out of Sales/Sharing/Targeted Advertising. Request that we not “sell” or “share” your personal information or not use it for targeted advertising, where those terms apply under state law.
• Limit Use of Sensitive Information. Where applicable law defines “sensitive” data (for example, precise geolocation or certain health information), request limits on its use or disclosure.
• Non-Discrimination. Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
At this time, we do not sell your personal information for money. We may, however, use or disclose certain information with advertising and analytics partners in ways that could be considered “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under some state laws.
12.1 How to Exercise Your Rights
You may submit a request by emailing admin@ieatzhealthy.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and providing:
• Your name and email address associated with your account;
• The right(s) you are seeking to exercise; and
• Your state of residence.
We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity. You may also authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification and additional documentation as required by law.
12.2 Appeals
If we deny your request, you may have the right to appeal our decision. Instructions for appeal will be included in our response where required by law, or you may contact admin@ieatzhealthy.com with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line.
